The Worship Services Committee is responsible for arranging or coordinating services on the Sundays when the minister is not in the pulpit. This happens approximately once per month. We also provide logisitical support such as flowers and ushers & greeters on a weekly basis.

COMMITTEE DESCRIPTION: WORSHIP SERVICES COMMITTEE

GROUP: RELIGIOUS AFFAIRS

CHARGE: To provide leadership in the organization and content of the worship services and to act as advisor to the Minister in this capacity.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Provide the Minister with insight relative to the impact of regular and special worship services.

2. Participate in planning specific services as agreed on by the Minister and members of the committee.

3. Be alert to the needs of the congregation regarding worship services.

4. Include the Director of Music, Ushers Committee, and Chancel Decorations Coordinator in committee meetings, as needed, in order to coordinate plans for worship services.

5. Assist in housing pulpit guests.

6. Oversee coordination of summer worship services.

7. Advise the chair of the Finance Committee by January of budget needs for the next fiscal year.

8. Provide the church office with copies of minutes and reports.
