New Year’s Day Service

New Year’s Day, while a time for reflecting and re-committing, is also a reminder that the only constant is change, as the wheel turns. In Christianity, Epiphany celebrates the revelation of God as human in Jesus Christ, and reminds us that we are always on a quest to discover, embrace, and share our truest selves. Honoring both New Year’s Day and Epiphany, our Jan. 1 service will include a reader’s theater performance of our very own “A Twelfth Night Epiphany,” inspired by Shakespeare’s comedy, but with a ‘twist,’ as we ask: Are we willing to take the risk to bring our entire complicated glorious ever-evolving truest selves into this new year? And are we ready to accept each other, as we are, with respect and fierce compassion?
