ACTS of Syracuse

ACTS Board Member, Elder Melvin Baker of Living Water Church of God in Christ, will speak.Elder Baker will provide an overview of ACTS and its current work; the impact his involvement has had on his faith journey; and what ACTS membership has meant to Living Water Church. Members of ACTS meet together to vote on the specific local initiatives in which the organization will invest its organizing resources.  Currently, its three main projects are 1) Criminal justice reform in Onondaga County and New York State; 2) Youth violence taskforce and trauma response team to address youth violence in Syracuse; 3) Truly universal pre-K in the Syracuse area, making quality pre-K available for all families who desire it and seeking funding for transportation for pre-K students.

First Unitarian Universalist Society of Syracuse is considering becoming a member organization of ACTS, so come find out more about their vision and efforts so you can provide the Board with feedback.
